Thank you for signing up to join one of our groups! We’re excited to welcome you and your child.
So that everything goes smoothly for you both, you need to know the practical information even if you are just coming for a tryout. You can read it on this page but please also download the pdf, you will need it for reference. (Don’t skip this as we can’t be responsible for any misunderstandings!)
TIMES
- We will be waiting outside for you between 09:40–09:50 – so aim to arrive at 09:40 to allow some wiggle room.
- We can’t admit anyone once the session starts, so don’t be late!
- First 15 minutes are for settling in with books and balls for the children, an opportunity for last-minute toilet visits, drinks and a calm beginning.
- The performance part of the session runs for about 45 minutes.
- Last 15 minutes kids sit together for a cookie and drink, while parents have a chance to talk. (If your child has allergies bring your own cookie.)
DESCRIPTION
- Imaginative, active and super fun dance-drama sessions for children and parents together.
- Designed and led by theatre artists who are also experienced teachers.
- Kids can participate between the ages of 2 to 4 years old (24–54 months).
- One adult does the session with each child.
- Everything is in English (but it’s fine if your child doesn’t speak English themselves).
REQUESTS AND TIPS
- If someone else (e.g. another parent or carer) will bring your child, we need their phone number and they need a copy of this info.
- Wear clothes you can easily move in; your child can be barefoot or wear non-slip socks.
- Help your child respect the materials we use, especially the books and balls, much effort goes into sourcing them and we want to keep them usable as long as possible.
- Give full attention to your child during the active part of the session by putting your mobile phone away.
- Taking occasional photos is fine, but don’t post online without consent if others are in the shot.
- Give snacks before or after the session, but no food during it.
ABSENCES
- Always let us know if you can’t come one week so we don’t wait at the door unnecessarily and the session can begin on time.
- If you miss a session, you can do a make-up one time per block, space permitting.
- We cannot refund the payment if your child can’t complete the course, but you’re welcome to send another child in their place. You would need to arrange this yourself.
- In the (very unlikely) event we cancel the course, you would be fully refunded for missed sessions.
