How does it work?
Your child begins with a tryout session to see if the group is a good fit for them. If this goes well, we’ll offer them a place for a whole block. If they’ve found it difficult to concentrate but are still keen to join, we’ll ask them to do a second tryout session. If it’s still hard for them concentrate and fully participate, we’ll invite them to try again when they’re a bit older. This way we maintain a good balance of both inclusivity and development for all kids in the group. Once your child is in the group, they are guaranteed a place in the following blocks as long as they want to continue or until they reach the age limit.

What to expect?
Lively and imaginative theatre and movement for children aged five to seven years old. We explore stories through drama games, improvisation, mime and dance. Your child develops creative ways to express themselves, to gain confidence, to work with others and of course to have fun!

Attention is given to both individual work and group activities, and we bring an awareness of the body and the space around us. We encourage each child to feel welcome and included, without any pressure to do anything they may not be ready to do. Shyness is not a problem! We have a great track record supporting kids to become more self-assured. However the ability to concentrate and participate is important, and kids who are very distractible may find the group is not the right activity for them at this stage in their life.

Sessions are taught in English and it’s necessary that your child can speak and understand well enough to feel comfortable. In the last session the kids will share some of the things they’ve been doing with family and friends.

We’re committed to being as inclusive as possible. Classes are LGBT+ family friendly and celebrate all nationalities and cultural backgrounds. If your child is (or may be) neurodivergent, please contact us so that we can help you decide if the classes are suitable for them. Unfortunately our studio is currently not accessible for wheelchair users or others who cannot use stairs. Together with other members of our building, we are working on finding a long term solution for this.

There are limited places in each block, so once it’s begun it’s only possible for new kids to join the group if it’s not yet full.

*We offer a price reduction for a 2nd child (sibling) joining and for families with a very low income (bijstandsniveau). Please contact us if you have a reduced price request.
